
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) could get an early boost ahead of their IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals, with Dewald Brevis hinting that he will return from injury.The South African youngster has been out of action since the start of the season due to a side strain during training which saw him miss CSK’s opening matches. However, head coach Stephen Fleming recently confirmed that Brevis is progressing well in his rehabilitation and is expected to return to the playing XI soon, potentially as early as April 11 against the Delhi Capitals.Retained by CSK for Rs 2.20 crore ahead of IPL 2026, Brevis remains an important part of their middle-order plans. He had an impressive campaign last season after coming on as a substitute, scoring 225 runs in a strike rate of 180. His absence was felt in the early part of the campaign, but recent visuals of him training and taking part in warm-ups suggest his recovery is on track.
