
Chennai Super Kings did not have the best time at home this season and lost three of their four matches at the Ma Chidambarama iconic stadium in IPL 2025. Over the years CSK built an unrivable fortress in Chepauk, but this season proved to be a domestic team. For the first time in 15 years, they suffered the loss of the capitals of Delhi in Chennai and shortly afterwards the Royal Challengers Bangalore was first defeated since 2008.

“There is no home advantage in Chepauk. We won a few matches away from home, but in the last few years we have not been able to read goals. This is not something new for us, we try to adapt to the conditions every day, but it is still uncertain,” Fleming added.
In an effort to revive its campaign, CSK made three changes in its playing XI. They brought Sam Curran, Deepak Hood and handed over the debut Dewald Brevis while dropping Jamie Overton, Vijay Shankar and Opener Rachin Rachin Ravindra.
With only two victories of their first eight games, CSK now finds that they have to win all their remaining six accessories to stay in the rivalry of play -offs.
