Chennai Super Kings handed over Dewald to Brevis when they abandoned Rachin Rachin Ravindra from a collision against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, April 25. Brevis was connected as a spare CSK player after Gurjapneet Singh was expelled for the rest of the season. During the Auction IPL 2025, the South African was not sold.
