CSK is not ready to give up: defiant Mike Hussey hope for play -off spot

Chennai Super Kings The launcher coach Mike Hussey said that his team is not ready to give up in the current Indian Premier League season. CSK suffered a heavy defeat in Chepauk against Kalkata Knight riders Ajinkya Rahane 11 April. CSK was hammered with 8 goals, with KKR chasing its 104-Runa target, the remaining 59 balls.

Hossey, who spoke at a press conference after the match, said the team was not yet ready to wave the white flag and supported the team to achieve the playoffs in IPL 2025.

“We are not yet building a white flag yet. You just have to get into that fourth place. And a big, long tournament like IPL, it’s about dynamics,” Hussey said after the hard defeat of the VS KRK team.

“Now certainly not such momentum with us at the moment is not with us. Know,” he added.

Chennai is one of the most successful teams in the history of the tournament. Their wealth, however, was not quite good in the last season. Hussey said he must first believe this season and then stick together as a group to make things happen. CSK is currently in the 9th position in the league table, just above Sunrisers Hyderabad.

“This is where there is a time when we have to really stay firmly, continue to work really hard, continue working on things we think are really important,” he added.

“I think there is a lot of talk about the style of our game and similar things, but we don’t want to ask them to play quite differently than what is natural for them. They got here to IPL so they could play really well, and they wouldn’t try them to play in a different way.”
