Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao has directed officials to speed up work related to the introduction of digital health cards for employees on June 2, which coincides with the state’s foundation day.
The chief secretary gave the instructions during a meeting of the Joint Staff Council comprising representatives of the government and staff unions on Friday. The joint staff council, which was held after a considerable break, discussed the problems faced by civil servants and pensioners. Several issues such as the Pay Revision Commission report, pending bills relating to employees, service issues including transfers under GO 317 came up for discussion.
Mr. Ramakrishna Rao instructed the officials concerned to ensure speedy redressal of the non-financial grievances raised by the employee unions in the meeting.
He assured the staff that the government will get the report and recommendations of the PRC, headed by former bureaucrat N. Shivashankar, who says the Commission too has stepped up its efforts to complete the report as soon as possible.
The Chief Secretary wanted the officials to arrange for holding Joint Staff Council meetings at directorate and district levels. He urged labor unions to use technology to quickly resolve issues raised by people.
