In the neon-lit, high-speed blur of Mumbai, it’s hard to find a quiet corner — but finding a pair of ears that actually listen can be impossible. If your social circle seems more like a ghost town lately, don’t worry.
On a busy Mumbai beach, a man named Prithvi Raj Bohra has officially announced himself as the professional “ear” you didn’t know you could hire. A Bohra sitting by the bank even lends a shoulder to cry on for a small fee.
“I’m sure you can’t guess what this guy is doing,” said Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, re-sharing Bohra’s viral video.

Want to talk to someone? Bohar listens
Prithvi Raj Bohra, who said he has a background in psychology and philosophy, sits next to a huge banner inviting passers-by to share their problems.
“If anyone wants to share their problems, I can listen,” the banner read.
Bohra, who offers his emotional support services in person from 11am to 4pm on the beach, has a set fee structure:
Trivial everyday matters are appreciated ₹250 and more serious concerns on ₹500. For those who want to “cry together”, Bohra offers seating ₹1000.
In a viral video shared by the Paytm founder, Bohra said that his education helps him to help his customers beyond just listening to them – also offering advice when needed.
He explained in the video that people come to him for relief and he listens patiently without judgment. “Some visitors even leave with a sense of relief and comfort.”
Bohra also shared that the demand is constant and many people have appreciated the opportunity to open up to a stranger who is simply listening.

Social media users praised Bohr’s quick solution to mental health care, saying that as long as he’s not harming anyone, “it’s all good!”.
Terming Bohra as a “beach therapist,” the user said, “Early-stage mental health startup in proof-of-concept with initial revenue, solo founder.”
“It looks funny today, but it’s tomorrow’s high-margin, recessionary business,” added another.
“If he doesn’t rob ppl to make money by force,” the user said.
Netizens said that someone like Bohra can be a big help to corporate employees in Gurugram. “I think it can help people who work in society, especially in Gurugram, where Friday is considered a party day.”

Top 4 tips for managing corporate stress
Corporate chaos is a marathon, not a sprint, so don’t let your “internal server” collapse. To stay sane, follow these four tips:
- 90 minute rule: Work in high focus blocks and then take a 5 minute “analog” break – no screens allowed.
- Micro boundaries: Productivity is not availability. Use “Do Not Disturb” modes to protect your deep work time.
- Box Breathing: If the date is going south, inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4. It’s literally a “reset” button for your nervous system.
- “Done” list.: Focus on what you’ve accomplished today rather than endlessly scrolling through your to-do list.
