CRPF jawan killed, five injured in collision between truck and two vehicles in Telangana’s Mulugu

A 36-year-old Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was killed on the spot and five others injured after a truck lost control and rammed into two vehicles on State Highway 163. The accident was reported near Pasra forest check post in Govindaraopet mandal of Mulugu district, Telangana, around 10 am on Thursday (2 Oct 26).

The deceased has been identified as Muguram Ramakanth, a jawan attached to the 39th CRPF battalion.

According to Mulugu Superintendent of Police Sudhir Ramnath Kekana, the truck first collided with a goods transporter in which CRPF personnel were traveling on the Pasra-Tadvai stretch. Ramakanth died on the spot while three other jawans, identified as Girish Kumar, Prem Prakash and Ram Jan Prasad, sustained injuries.

After the initial collision, the truck rammed into a car following the CRPF vehicle, injuring two government employees. The officer said both were out of danger. The accident took place near the Forestry Authority check post, with the same lorry hitting both vehicles behind each other.
