Police Kurnool has intensified measures to protect women and children by focusing on renewed initiatives on awareness of computer crime.
Police Manager Vikrant Patil, who spoke on a campaign to raise awareness of Pullareddy Engineering College Auditorium, said crime prevention is the highest priority of the police department. “We have launched many reinforced measures to protect women and children to sensitize them against crimes, especially in digital age with an alarming increase in technology abuse,” he said.

All police stations throughout the district have been instructed to organize at least one awareness program to schools and universities daily. “Students were told to immediately report the eve or harassment,” said Sp.
A representative of SP (Mahila police wing) J. Babu Praad said that even educated women became the victim of online fraud. Students were advised to use social media platforms only for education and career purposes.
