
New ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta. (Screengrabs) The International Criket Council (ICC) announced Sanjog Gupta on Monday as its CEO (CEO). Gupta will be replaced by Geof Allardice. “I am pleased to announce that Sanjog Gupta has been appointed ICC Director. Sanjog brings extensive experience with sports strategy and commercialization, which will be invaluable to ICC,” said ICC chairman Jay Shah.“His deep understanding of global sports and M&E in combination with his continuing curiosity about the perspective and passion for cricket technology will show up in our ambitions in the coming years. Our goal is to move to traditional borders and set up cricket as a regular sport at the Olympics in the Olympics and markets.“We considered several exceptional candidates for this position, but the nomination committee unanimously recommended Sanjog. Directors of the board of ICC are looking forward to close cooperation with him and I would like to welcome him on behalf of all in ICC.”
