Anaya Bangar (Image Credit: Instagram) New Delhi: Anaya Bangar, a child of a former Indian cricket and coach Sanjay Bangar, has recently opened up to “toxic male”, which continues to permeate the cricket world. Last year, she first spoke publicly about her path of transformation, which included hormone substitution therapy and sex -confirmation operation. Anaya, formerly known as Aryan, followed in the footsteps of her father playing cricket of the age group. Anaya, however, admitted that the continuation of the cricket career after the crossing came with many challenges.

When Anaya asked about the kind of harassment she faced, she revealed, “There are a few crickets who randomly sent me naked pictures.”
Anaya continued to make up other worrying experiences: “The person gave Gaalis before everyone. The same person then came and sat beside me and asked for their photos. When I was in India, there was another example when I was in India, I said cricket Puraane (veteran) about my situation.

In November 2023, however, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a new policy that prohibits transgender athletes in participation in the female international cricket.

Anaya responded to the decision and shared a detailed contribution to Instagram and expressed its disappointment in the new rule.
