
Chief coach India Gautam Gambhir released a strong defense of SHUBMAN GILL and criticized those who questioned the tactical decisions and temperament of the young captain during the ongoing test series in England. Gill, under pressure from a rocky start in the fourth test in Old Trafford, responded in a stylishly composed century that helped India to save morale increasing the draw and maintain a test series of five matches alive.
At a press conference after the Gambhir match, he explained that any doubts about Gill’s caliber were incorrectly placed. “At first, there should be no doubt about the talent of Shaubman Gill,” Gambhir said. “Anyone who doubts it only knows how to talk about cricket, does not understand it.
