The team of the working group in the southern zone together with the Chikkadpally Police arrested three persons involved in the online cricket bet rockets. The authorities seized 2,48,200 GBP in cash and three mobile phones used in an illegal operation.
The defendants were identified as MoHD Firesath Ali, Rein Bazaar resident, who worked as a sub-booky, along with Nitin Kumar of Moosarambagh and Vikas Agarwal of Dolguda, both of whom worked as bookmakers.
The investigation revealed that the accusation was provided by the Betting ID of the user from the main bookmaker marked as Pavan, which is located in Jaipur in Rajasthan. Using these IDs, they joined the betting activities for the ongoing IPL-2025 season through various online platforms, including Peachexch, RadheExchange.com and Silvarbay.com.
They also provided login data to other bettors in exchange for commissions, which facilitates illegal gambling activities.
Criminal proceedings who acted on Tip-offs attacked a place near Sundaraiah, where they arrested and confiscated cash and mobile phones. The arrested persons and confiscated materials were handed over to the Chikkadpally Police for further investigation.
