The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Friday launched a 26-day ‘Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP)’ at Yerrabalem village in Amaravati to promote self-employment and empower women.
The program is conducted in collaboration with Guide Foundation for Development (GFFD), Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad and Accenture. It aims to equip women and unemployed youth with technical and practical skills in business management, particularly in the food-based sectors with high growth potential in the fast-growing Amaravati region.
The training sessions are held at Mandadam, Ananthavaram (Thulluru mandal), Undavalli (Tadepalli mandal) and Yerrabal (Mangalagiri mandal). Participants will receive hands-on training in the preparation of biscuits, snacks, traditional sweets, tiffins and millet-based nutritional foods. After completing the program, participants will receive a certificate. Day of complaints
In a related initiative, CRDA organized a Grievance Day at its Tullur office to address the concerns of farmers and agricultural workers in the capital region of Amaravati. Additional Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja received petitions related to annual rent payments, village boundary issues and reversionary land registrations. He assured the applicants that their issues would be prioritized. According to another press release, officials from various CRDA departments participated in the program and provided on-the-spot redressal of several complaints.
