
New Delhi, June 14 (PTI) Air India’s Unfortunate Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which soon after takeoff from Ahmedabad 12.
The aircraft that appeared in London Gatwick came across the residential neighborhoods of BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad. In addition to 241 people on board the aircraft, many others also died on the ground.
Officials said on Saturday that the VT-ANB aircraft underwent C or comprehensive checks in June 2023 and other such scheduled checks should be in December this year.
CEMP C have been carried out by AIL (AI Engineering Services Ltd).
The right side engine of a nearly twelve -year aircraft was redesigned and installed in March 2025, while the engine inspection on the left side was carried out according to the engine manufacturer’s protocol in April 2025, the officials said.
The aircraft was powered by GenX engines, manufactured by GE Aerospace.
Officials also claimed that there were no problems with the engines or plane.
There was no official statement from Air India.
Aviation Watchdog DGCA on Friday ordered improved Boeing 787-8/9 Air India aircraft.
Air India said on Saturday that one -off security checks of the aircraft are on the way and the checks were completed for nine aircraft.
The airline has 26 Legacy Boeing 787-8s and seven Boeing 787-9s in its fleet.
On Friday, GE Aerospace said it supported the action adopted by the General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGCA) for the increased Fleet of Air India 787-8/9.
“We continue to cooperate closely with the relevant regulatory and investigative agencies and we are determined to provide all technical support necessary to understand the cause of this accident,” aerospace spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the former Minister of Civil Aviation PREFUL Patel said on Friday after three and a half years of taking over Air India Tatas, the management must fine -tune the various aspects of the airlines of the airlines, including maintenance.
The Office for Investigations of Air accidents (AAIB) is testing the accident and a multidisciplinary committee has also been established to explore the causes of the accident.
