He emphasized the importance of strengthening the Indian Communist Party (Marxist) and the left forces, the Secretary General of the CPI (M) Ma Baby on Tuesday said that the restoration of the independent forces of both political entities was of main importance, especially in West Bengal.
“Bengal is an advanced base of the left and democratic forces … There was a certain decline in the election performance in Bengal and the Tripura,” Baby said in the CPI State Committee (M) in Calcutta.
In the election of Lok Sabha in 2024, the left front led by CPI (m) stretched empty to 33 seats that attacked in West Bengal. It brought similar results in six constituencies of the Assembly, which in November last year entered the side elections in the state.
“West Bengal must play a very important role to show the independent force of CPI (M) and the left. The State CPI (M) State Conference (M) in West Bengal has done very detailed discussions,” he said.
Mr. Baby added that the State Conference planned proposals for political organizations to be carried out in West Bengal so that the strengths could be registered aside and left in the state.
“The party’s congress also emphasized the importance of West Bengal, so we have to cooperate. The party’s central committee and the politicians will be taken to help the West Bengal and left power to deal with their influence,” Mr. Baby said.
He hoped that with the support of people, CPI (M) and the left “they would be able to introduce a significant return”. The party congress had a clear understanding of how more and more parts of people could win and how fascist forces could resist together.
“We try to learn from people; we listen to criticism of people. At the same time there are motivated campaigns against CPI (M) and left. We will also expose them. We do not mind hearing from our opponents.
