
The State Secretary of the CPI (M) Andhra Pradesh V. Srinivas Rao on Wednesday (August 6) wrote a letter to representatives of the main Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, calling him to release 1 121 Crore in funds assigned to the 15th financial commission.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that although the current coalition government published the first installment of these funds, the second tranše of 1 121 GBP – released the center six months ago – has not yet been paid, causing anxiety between local bodies.
Other requirements include an increase in Sarpanches from 3,000 to 10,000 GBP according to the election manifesto of the coalition government, the rapid processing and authorization of Panchayat accounts by issuing Panchayat Secretaries, full decentralization of 29 Panchayats, as ordered 73 and 74.
