The Indian Communist Party (Marxist) launched a weekly signature campaign from 13 to July 20 and called on the district administration of Tiruchi to deal with long -waiting questions at the Mahatma Government Hospital Goverial Hospital (MgMgh). The aim of the campaign is to draw attention to the reported lack of medical and support employees, which affected the quality of patient care.
The hospital, the key facility that provides poor people across the central Tamil Nadu, faces disruption of services because vacancies, especially in nursing and support role. In the memorandum submitted to the authorities, CPI (m) demanded immediate recruitment across all three shifts and improved access to basic equipment such as pure drinking water, hot water, nutritious food and proper hygiene.
The party required better emergency care, timely diagnostics and basic availability of drugs. It urged administration to improve infrastructure and services at the Srirangam Government Hospital.
