The Communist Party of the India-Marxist (CPI (M)) demanded that the government immediately canceled this decision to assign landing to the URSA clusters.
In his statement on Monday (April 21), the State Committee of CPI (M) V. Srinivasa Rao said there were reports that the company called Ursa Clusters, an IT company with “no known background” was assigned 60 hectares in Visakhapatnam. If this is true, the decision must be immediately canceled, he said.
The allocation of the IT company in Visakhapatnam must be solved with transparency and complete facts must be published. Just a few days ago, the government announced that TCS had sold 21 acres. It has been reported that TCS will continue to operate buildings until the construction is completed on the attic.
However, no official announcement on the assignment of soil URSA was made. The government must publicly explain whether it is true. “The government must explain how it could provide 60 acres of free new companies without history or experience in it,” he said, adding, “CPI (m) is against the donation of valuable land under the pretext of promoting the IT industry.”
The government has not even made a contribution to these companies in exchange for land. Instead of the lease contract, the land was sold for 0.99 GBP, practically a gift. It also violates its own P4 government regulations. CPI (M) therefore requires that these free allocations be immediately abolished and the land should be leased legally by IT companies. It also urges measures against companies that do not comply with rental agreements, he added.
