The Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party (SDPI) KK Abdul Jabbar claimed that the Indian Communist Party (Marxist) (CPI (M)) attempts to state the public about the suicide of a young woman in Kayalode by spreading disinformation and concerning tireless accusations. Accused the district secretary of CPI (m) KK Ragesh of the handover of guilt instead of looking for justice for a victim whose parents are supposedly party supporters.
“Instead of helping the mourning family, CPI (m) is hidden behind the argument of the moral court,” he said on Sunday, June 22, at a press conference in Kannura.
He further criticized Mr. Ragesho for what he described as a “hypocritical lecture on morality” about the incident.
The SDPI leader condemned alleged CPI attempts (m) to connect his party with religious extremism.
“Setting up SDPI with Sangh Parivar is not only misleading but dangerous. It shows a kind of political compromise that happens in CPI (M),” he said. He strongly refuted Mr. Ragesh’s claim that SDPI was anti-women.
“Of the 14 local representatives of the SDPI body in Kannura, there are eight women. These are not deeds of the organization of the anti-Zen organization,” he said. Mr. Jabbar also killed alleged attempts to portray a public discussion involving members of the family of the deceased woman and the local leader as a “moral judgment”.
“The assembly included relatives of both young women and men, the local Mahal office and the leader of the Congress and the Indian Muslim League in the Indian Union. Twiking is politically motivated in the secret process,” he said.
SDPI also announced plans to organize a public event that faced what they called the CPI propaganda (M), and to present what they claimed were the real facts of the case.
