Members of the Indian Communist Party (Marxista) presented a demonstration in the city on Saturday, demanded immediate road repair, underground drainage network (UGD) network and other civic infrastructure damaged due to recent rains.
Demonstrators, led by Jagadish Surya and N. Subramanya, said that the passage in the area of blocking and Mysuro City Corporation (MCC) did not participate in civic work on a priority basis.
CPI (m) said most roads in the city, including Tyagaraja Road, Ramanuja Road, Chamaaaaaja Double Road, more roads in Kuvedunagar, Saraswathipuram, Janata Nagar, Underbridge, Vinayak, Vinayak Nagar, Ashoka, Agrahara, NR Mohala etc.
MCC has not been able to attract or complete civic works and add rain to chaos on the streets, which makes it difficult for both pedestrians and motorists, activists said.
They pointed out the incomplete work of UGD and stated that they were connected on the streets.
They also raised questions about the quality of road asphalt and stated that one magic of rain was enough to create potholes. Therefore, the MCC was asked to adopt civil work on a priority basis and ensure the quality of implementation.
