The tension expanded between CPI (M) and Congress staff after the President of the Mandalam Congress was in Kottayim, Kottay, who was nearby, raised the right to check the Congress Office. The clash followed when the former leader of the Congress Mohan Kumar tried to seize the office together with his followers.
Mr. Mohan Kumar joined CPI (M), along with 13 other congress workers by coming to membership of the CPI (m) en surresh Babu on Monday. After defection, Mr. Mohan Kumar and others opened the Congress office and built the flags of CPI (m).
However, the voltage broke out when Congress’s staff tried to prevent CPI (m). The police resorted to Lathicharge to distract the Congress and CPI workers (M). One CPI worker (m) was injured at a police action.
Mr. Mohan Kumar concluded an agreement with the owner of a building in which the congress office was placed soon after he left the party. He allegedly cleaned the arrears for rent offices and concluded a new agreement in his name. On the basis of a new agreement, he put entitled to the Office.
However, Congress staff claimed that the office has been in operation for about 100 years and the lease would usually be on behalf of the President of Mandalam. They insisted that the party’s office could not be distributed when the President Mandalam leaves the party.
The police concluded the office and left the decision on the income division.
