
The Indian Communist Party (Marxist) condemned the proposed revision in railway tariffs with effect from 1 July. On the basis of the two -day State Committee of the Party in Tiruchi, a resolution was adopted. The resolution said that train travel was an essential need for people and urged the government led by the BJP to resign the proposed increase. The party urged all parts of society to oppose this “attack” on people.
Another resolution condemned Narendra Modi in the center for allocating higher amounts of funds to Sanskrit, while “unfair” in terms of allocation of funds for Tamil, a classic language. Since 2014, he said that the center had allocated 2,532.59 GBP and spent only 147.56 GBP for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Odiya, “all recognized as classic languages.”
Assignment of the Sanskrit Fund was 17 times more than it was assigned for five more languages together. The BJP government, which was operated by RSS, was actively involved in the storage of Hindi and Sanskrit.
General Strike
Another resolution called on the party’s cadre to participate in the nationwide general strike, which was 9 July called by central unions and organizations to oppose the BJP government for its policies supporting businesses and among other things for their anti -Association.
The meeting was chaired by a member of the State Executive Committee of the Party K. Samuelraj. Members of Politbureau Ashok Dhawale, K. Balakrishnan and U. Vasuki and State Secretary of the Party P. Shanmugam were present.
