The Communist Party of India (CPI) and Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangam organized a protest against the alleged artificial deficiency of urea in the Prakasam district in the collector in Ongola on Monday. They demanded that the government take immediate steps to prevent urea deficiency, so that farmers do not differ any problems.
In an interview with the media, District Secretary of CPI ML Narayan said: “The coalition government in the state was unable to provide for farmers in time. Farmers used 39.5 lacquer tons of fertilizer in the state last year.
This year, compared to last year, this year’s lack of seven lacquer tons of fertilizers. The government of the double engine could not completely supply the fertilizers of the state, he said. On the other hand, private fertilizers are hiding shares and selling them on the market at higher prices, adding and demanding that the government should take strict measures against traders who make illegal profits.
Mr. Naryan also said: “Farmers are already facing various difficulties throughout the state due to lack of rewarding prices for their crops, lack of support for cultivation and increased fertilizer and seed prices. On the other hand, it is outrageous that officials say that they provide urea.”
The General Secretary of the AP Rythu Sangam K. Veer Reddy said that the coalition government in the state is acting unintegrated against farmers. He said he had not completely provided the farmers. He demanded that the government immediately take steps to solve farmers’ problems.
