The Ministry of Health noted that the robust system for surveillance of respiratory viral diseases, including the COVID-19, also exists through the integrated monitoring program (IDSP) and ICMR.
“The Ministry of Health of the Union remains alert and proactive in careful monitoring of the situation and ensures that suitable measures to protect public health are introduced,” the ministry said.
