
Pulmonologist residing in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, was positively tested on Covid-19, confirmed Medchal-Malkajgiri district Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) C. Uma Gowri.
According to DMHO, the doctor has been under domestic isolation for the last five days and strictly followed the Covida protocols. The doctor is currently asymptomatic and has fully recovered. The contact monitoring was completed and no symptoms have been reported between its family members or other close contacts. The medical authorities continue to monitor all individuals who have been in contact with the patient, she said.
Dr. Uma Gowri urged the public not to fail, and made sure that the medical department was fully ready to handle the situation. “The situation is completely under control and our medical teams are equipped to respond quickly to any development,” she said.
DMHO recommended citizens to remain vigilant and immediately report symptoms such as fever or respiratory anxiety. People who experience symptoms similar to Covida are recommended to visit the nearest primary health center (PHC), UPHC, Basti Dawakhana or Dawakhana Pallen for Medical Aid, she said.
Gandhi Hospital will establish 50 inpatient departments
Insulating equipment with 30 beds in the Gandhi hospital extends to 50 bed facilities. The hospital was a node for the treatment of COVID-19 in Telangana during the telangana pandemic. “We started with 30 beds and now we have been ordered to expand it to 50. It will be ready until Saturday,” said Raj Kumari Hospital. She added that the department would be equipped with acute care devices, including beds supported by a fan.
