Meanwhile, the court ordered the KSP to provide public advertising that it had filed an action on behalf of Kannadigas as regards the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC), ordering the announcement to Mr. Haasan and surrendered by another hearing until August 30.
The suit was filed in connection with the controversial statement of Mr. Haasan, made on April 24, during the release of the film “Thug Life” in Chennai, in which the actor claimed that “Kannada would be born from Tamil”.
“The reason why the acting statement caused immense pain and anxiety for people is that it is obviously and objectively false and was made with a sense of chauvinism, superiority and arrogance …” That was in a suit.
Although the question of the opposition to the “Thug Life” screen in Karnataka was determined before the top of the court, KSP said “the slander and deceptive statement remains and continuously hurt people’s sentiment (including the KSP) and caused immense misconduct, disgrace and humiliation”.
