
BheEmpur police in Adilabad district discovered a rocket for trading people arresting a couple from Maharashtra allegedly involved in the kidnapping and selling a 16 -year -old girl with them men in Rajasthan.
The accused, identified as Nirmala (47 years) and her husband Bapunya Rajaram from the village of Kinhi in the Maharashtra Yavatmal district was arrested on Saturday morning by the police at Adilabad, the police said. Another accused Karan aka Bhagavath of Kota in Rajasthan is free.
According to police, Nirmal and Bapunya, allegedly kidnapped a smaller girl Adivasi from their village in the Bheempur district of Mandal in the district of Adilabad 2.
The Bheempur police, which acted on a complaint filed by a girl’s mother, registered the case of kidnapping. A detailed investigation of the kidnapping case revealed a trading missile.
When the couple knew that the police were looking for them, they reportedly brought the girl back to their house on June 25, 2025.
The couple was arrested on the basis of the relevant parts of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS) and the Act on immoral operation (prevention), 1956. The arrested duo was produced in the local court.
The police registered the case under the protection of children from the Sexual Crime Act (POCSO) against Karan and represented a special team in Rajasthan to charge it.
