Country bombs dropped on a private liquor bar in Watrap

At least three persons are suspected of hurling two country-made bombs at a private liquor bar near Watrap in Koomapatti police station limits on Monday.

Police said the trio had come to a private club and were drinking alcohol at noon.

While they were leaving, they allegedly threw bombs and fled.

A worker identified as Mayan (34) was injured. The police registered a case based on the owner’s complaint.

CCTV cameras were examined. Senior officers have visited the spot and further investigation is underway.
