Councilor Ward 4 in Udhagamandalam (UMC) wrote to the municipal commissioner who urged an action against a building project that he claims to be carried out illegally.
C. Anith Lakshmi, councilors, said in its petition to the city chairman that near KadAppamund along the Kotagiri road, a construction project is carried out. She argued that the water tube was illegally installed without knowing the municipality officials.
She said that the case of the IAS officer was promoted against the construction and stated that the continuation of construction before the case was illegal. She added that municipalities have already issued a notice to the construction site managers, but these announcements were ignored.
She argued that the pipeline of the municipality was damaged and connected to the pipe supplying water to the construction site. The councilor called on the chairman of UMC to issue instructions for disconnecting the pipeline.
