Corteva Agriscience is creating awareness about pest control among farmers in Nellore

Corteva Agriscience, an American fair-play agricultural company, brought together farmers, agronomists, scientists and local community leaders in Nellore to demonstrate the performance of its innovative granular rice insecticide, Mavilon.

The demonstration created awareness on how to protect crops from harmful pests without repeated spraying. Farmers have seen stronger crop stands, healthier cultivators, better grain fill and fields that remain protected during some of the most critical stages of crop growth.

“Unlike conventional approaches where farmers respond after pests appear, Mavilon allows growers to stay ahead of the threat. Designed for a one-time application 30-35 days after transplanting, Mavilon protects crop potential before significant damage occurs,” the company said.

“As brown planthopper (BPH) outbreaks intensify and labor restrictions make timely sprays difficult, rice growers are turning to convenient, long-lasting solutions like Mavilon that provide consistent protection with less operational complexity,” he added.
