A member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the progressive democratic front (PDF) B. Gopi Murtha said that teachers were harassed in the name of the corrective classes.
In his statement, MLC stated that the SSC results were published on April 23, 2025 and have a percentage of passage 81.14. The remaining 18.86% of students are preparing for writing complementary exams. He said that the ministry issued instructions for implementing compulsory corrective classes for these students and unfairly denied summer holidays to teachers.
He pointed out that the rules of services introduced for teachers include summer holidays, and called on Vijay Rama’s school education heads to allow teachers to use their summer holidays.
The leaders of the Federation of Teachers Andhra Pradesh (Aptf) also urged the school department to participate in the participation of teachers in the execution of corrective classes, or to grant earned holidays (EL) for teachers who attended on summer holidays.
The state President of the Federation G. Hridaya Raja and the Secretary General S. Chiranjeevi pointed out that the classroom classes 9:00 by 16:00 would include noon meat. From April 24 to June 11, they said that the Ministry of Education had already announced a summer holiday, most teachers had already traveled to their home cities or went on holiday with their families.
However, they said that some teachers voluntarily participated in remedial classes in the morning. They also distributed manuals printed by the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and handover through WhatsApp Question and Consect.
They said officials should make teachers optional or granting a holiday (el) by the rule.
