Mayor M. Anilkucar promised to deal with LED light problems by leading complaints raised by councilors to announce Cochin Smart Mission Limited (CSML).
On Tuesday he responded to complaints at the Kochi Corporation Council Council. Mr. Anilkucar admitted to LED light problems and said the lights of the evolving stalls during the monsoon were common. The councilors complained that CSML had not taken any steps to maintain, although the moved LED lights faced problems from the first day. LED lights were installed along the national highway and northern overbridge.
The mayor said that the meeting was once convened with the CEO of CSML and a deputy head engineer who discussed this issue. He said he would write CSML asking for a problem solving.
CSML has concluded a company contract for 40 GBP Crore to move lights. The councilors accused CSML of incomplete the relocation of lights. When the lights turn into a dysfunctional, Kseb blames it of CSML, which in turn puts on the KSEB. In addition, the Company provided a separate maintenance contract. However, the supplier claims that the maintenance of the lights is not responsible for its responsibility, they said.
The members of the Council took how they were forced to approach various agencies to correct the lights in their departments. The street lights remain the responsibility of the corporation, even if they are now forced to escape from the pillar to offer this service, the councilor said.
Real estate tax
Anilkumar said that with the exception of a few, almost everyone paid a real estate tax, thanks to K-Smart. Those who receive notifications for the first time must pay fees for three years. However, those who could not pay tax, although they were repeatedly delivered, should clean full fees with criminal interest, he added.
The mayor responded to the accused opposition councilors about discrimination in the collection of real estate tax. The opposition councilors quoted how 146 persons ensured the judgment limiting the collection of tax fees for three years after the tax increase in 2016, while this advantage was rejected to those who could not afford to address the court.
