Israel coordinates the Indian Ambassador in Tel Aviv to help those who want to leave the country in the middle of air strikes between Iran and Israel, said Israeli ambassador in India Reuven Azar. While India has not yet announced a plan to evacuate most citizens from one country, the government encourages them to move away from the main cities that will face the onslaught of military action. Iran retailed to Israeli strokes, Iranian nuclear installations on June 13 and other military goals, with firing strikes on several Israeli cities, ports, military and research installations.
“Now we are starting to organize through the (Israeli) Ministry of Transport, evacuation commuting for diplomats and foreign citizens who want to leave. There are several options, ground and maritime and discussing them (also with Indian authorities),” Azar said. According to officials, the land routes across the Bridge Bridge/King Hussein are to Jordan, despite the Eilat-Taba border crossing to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, while Cyprus cruise ships from the Israeli ports in Haifa and Ashdod may be another possibility.
Israel-Iran Conflict Live Update
In a briefing describing in detail the Israeli claim that he attacked Iran “preventively” to avoid the “immediate” attack of Iranian forces prepared for the development of nuclear weapons, Mr. Azar said that the Israeli government addressed partners, including India.
In his post on his telephone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he shared Indian “concerns” with him and called for early restoration of peace and stability in the region.
Asked by Hinda whether the new Delhi expressed specific concerns about attacks on Iranian nuclear installations, including the Natanz and Isfahan device, which criticized the IAEA, Mr. Azar said that Indian fears were limited to stability in the region.
Meanwhile, the head of the international atomic energy agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi said that the strikes “deeply concerned” and added that “nuclear devices must never be attacked, regardless of context or circumstances”. “Such attacks have serious consequences for nuclear safety, security and warranty, as well as regional and international peace and security,” Grossi said.
Mr. Azar said: “For country like India, it is a rapidly growing force, any interference of world peace is harmful to national interest. So it is very natural that it will concern India. We understand these concerns and try to improve what we can.”
“We will continue our dialogue with IAEA to assess the situation and see how we can continue the attack because we have to attack, but at the same time to minimize the victims,” he added.
Mr. Azar expressed Israeli “recognition” as a decision to break with other members of the organization for cooperation in Shanghai as a statement condemned by Israeli attacks. He also rejected questions about whether the Israeli government had lost Bipartisan support in India, given the criticism of the congress on his bombing of Gaza and attack on Iran.
“I will join with people from all sides and all Indian regions,” said Mr. Azar, adding that he remains in contact with “very prominent people” on the congress side. “Sometimes people are more critical to you. That doesn’t mean they’re not your friends. They’re worried,” he added.
