In front of Bakrid, the Commissioner of the Police in Hyderabad CV organized a coordination meeting on Thursday to ensure that the correct measures, including other checkpoints, animal transport regulations and the correct measures for cleaning and liquidation, were introduced for Bakrid.
The meeting had officials from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Animal Chovryshing, Transport, Electricity, Water and Police Units from Cyberabad and Rachakond to pursue the rules and to maintain public order during the festival.
The Commissioner ordered an immediate establishment of control functions throughout the city to stop illegal transport to animals. “Animals without valid veterinary certificates or suitable for defeat will not be allowed through. Vehicles captured by violations of the rules will be confiscated and diverted to holding centers or Goshalas GHMC,” the officer said.
He made it clear that only the police, GHMC and animal staff can control such vehicles. Public and alert groups were warned to avoid interfere. GHMC and animal breeding were told to put on all checks on the 24×7 veterinary staff.
GHMC is asked to send dog writing units before the festival, provided every household packaging for the disposal of carcasses, and teams prepared for the Bakrid Day to collect animal waste and garbage. The civic body is expected to organize heavy vehicles, the Earth and other hygienic workers to clean the remnants.
Commissioner GHMC RV Karnan said that other hygienic workers and vehicles would be published near mosques and in sensitive areas. Garbage bags will be distributed and employees will be on duty all the time. CV Anand ordered the creation of coordination teams at local, zonal and urban levels to handle any problems that quickly appear. He added that all departments must cooperate to ensure that Bakrid is peaceful, safe and clean.
