A video shared by the PTI on X (formerly Twitter) has shown that locals and national staff responses to disasters (NDRF) are working side by side to save those trapped in growing water.

The shots captured tense moments because the ropes were thrown from the bridge to attract people to safety, while the current rushing around them.
“Some people reported that several individuals were stuck in the river. Four five of us got here and saved them. About 12-13 people were saved,” the rescuer said during the PTI operation.
Pontoon Bridge retaliated, the villages cut off
Meanwhile, several villages in Kushinagar and the Maharajganj district Untar Pradesh were cut off from their headquarters to the Ponton Bridge over the Narayani River.

Strong precipitation and release of water from Nepal caused a sharp increase in the river level and disrupted traveling for people in distant areas.
Southwest monsoon proceeds through Bihar, east
The southwestern monsoon further advanced to most parts of Bihar and some other regions of the Eastern Uttar Pradesh to 19 June, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the meteorological department, the deepening monsoon activity is ready to bring very heavy to extreme rainfall to isolated places through Gujarat, North Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, West Bengal and Odisha on Wednesday, while Jharkhand will stiffen for similar weather.
