Contract, outsourcing employees require regularization

A large number of contract and outsourcing workers staged a protest at the Gandhi statue at GVMC on Friday demanding regularization and equal pay for equal work. AV Nageswara Rao, honorary president of AP Contract and Outsourcing Employees, Teachers and Workers JAC, urged the government to regularize the employees who have been working for years. He warned that three million workers would march to assembly unless the government acted. State JAC Chairman Kantarao (Nani) said conferences are being held in four regions and warned of gradual protests across the state. Employees from health, education, municipal and other sectors participated.
