Media, social and consumer intelligence company Meltwater has expanded its AI center in Hyderabad by setting up a new 14,000 sq ft facility in the city. The facility houses a 60-person research and development team focused on developing next-generation artificial intelligence capabilities, and plans to expand that number to 150 engineers by 2026, the company said. Earlier this year, Meltwater announced the opening of an AI center in Hyderabad with about 20 employees.
The expansion underscores its accelerated investment in AI innovation and strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a leading hub in India’s technology ecosystem, the company said in a statement earlier this week.
In just nine months, the Hyderabad office has become an integral part of Meltwater’s global innovation work. The team here developed critical AI capabilities that redefined… Hyderabad’s robust academic ecosystem, vibrant AI community and industry networking support created an ideal environment for innovation at scale, said Chief Technology Officer Aditya Jami.
