The constant rain threw the town of Kochi and the larger Ernakulam on Wednesday (June 16, 2025), which slowed his life, although the Indian meteorological department was “orange” warning for the district in the afternoon.

The rain slowed down Design Works to deepen the Thevara-Perundoor channel (TP). “The pontoon mounted excavators involved in condemnation become unstable during heavy rain. There is also a risk of crashing of the waterfront,” the sources in the smaller irrigation department said. The TP channel shutdown and deepening of almost 10 crore has been divided into four different works and the second reach remains to be completed.
