Continuous rains continue to continue with several parts of the Malnad region and affect a normal life on Monday. The roads remain flooded, the movement of traffic is still slow, and many areas plunged into darkness at night due to disturbance of energy supply, because the poles of electricity have been uprooted due to impact winds.
In 24 hours, which ended at 8:30 on Monday, the Mallad area received an average of 47 mm rainfall, against a normal range of 5 mm.
The average precipitation in Shivamogga was 29 mm, against a normal range of 4 mm. In Hassan, the average rainfall was recorded at 43 mm against 5.3 mm, which is a normal range. The Chikkamagalur district recorded an average precipitation of 35.5 mm, while the normal expected day was 4.2 mm.
Hongadahall in Sakleshpur Taluk from the Hassan district recorded 229.5 mm collisions, the second highest recorded in the state on the day. Birumani in Virajpet Taluk from the Kodag district recorded 275 mm, the highest day.
The Center of Natural Disaster Monitoring in Karnataka was a red warning until Tuesday morning.
Slips
The constant downpour led to landslides in Shiradi Ghat (NH-75), which connects Bengalur and Mangalur. Thousands of vehicles on the road every day. Over the past two days, the movement of vehicles has been hit badly. Many vehicles were stuck on the highway for hours.

Vacation declared
Over the past seven days, a person has died in Chikkamagalur and 23 houses suffered damage due to heavy rains. On Sunday, one died after the tree fell to the authorickshaw, who rode near Gadikal in Koppa Taluk. Five more than 75% of damage suffered between the houses affected by heavy rains, while 18 were partially damaged.
With regard to the heavy downpour, the Chikkamagalura District Administration, she declared a holiday in Chikkamagalur, Mudigere, Kalasa, Kalasa, Koppa and NR Pura Taluk for three days to wedges.
