Conman, who presented as a deputy, sent WhatsApp to the Senior Assistant of Diventment Development and Panchayath Raj and postponed 45,000 GBP on Wednesday.
The cheating showed when the victim was checked with her senior after the money was transferred and found that his number was attacked.
According to the complaint, she received a report of her WhatsApp from the deputy number, looking for emergency financial assistance in the amount of 45,000 GBP. She transferred the amount to the Google Pay account to the number and later realized that the UPI ID belongs to Son Kumar.
This is one of the common forms of online cheating, the police said, adding that people should be careful and cross control before carrying out financial transactions.
In the field of computer crime based on complaints, the police registered the case of cheating by incitement under IT law and trying to trace the accused on the basis of transaction data.
