Representative of the Chief Minister of Karnatak DK Shivakumar radiated the confidence that Congress would win 10 out of a total of 13 seats in the districts of Dakshin Kannada and Udupi in the next elections to the assembly expected in 2028.
The chairman of the Karnataka Pradesh (KPCC) Congress Committee, who addressed the Congress staff at the Guruvayanakere party Convention, said he recently received a survey in two districts, proposing the return of the party to fame in two districts.
“Congress also captures the Belthangada Assembly seat,” said Mr. Shivakumar.
President KPCC said he was convinced that voters would vote according to their conscience in the next election to the assembly in two districts.
The twins were once a strong citadel of Congress. In the elections to the Assembly in 2013, the party acquired 10 seats in two districts. The same will be repeated in the next elections, he added.
President KPCC said Congress learned after the loss of seats in the previous election of the gathering across the coastal belt. While he asked the parties to gain people’s confidence on the basis of five schemes, he said that workers should not lose confidence while facing the next election.
“When Congress built and shaped the lives of people, the others (indirectly hit the BJP) played with the feelings of people,” said the main minister.
“No one is permanent in politics. You should live on hope,” he told the workers.
Voting
The Minister’s representative said that elections to local bodies in the state can be announced at any time and asked the party workers to prepare for it.
President KPCC asked workers to add to the party at least 10 new members in each booth. “Do not hesitate to approach people (for enrollment in Congress), even if they are BJP voters. People decide (on the support pages) based on situations that prevail during all elections,” said Mr. Shivakumar.
President KPCC claimed that if the Congress won the election, it means that people of all sections have been given an opportunity.
