If the Congress high command fails to resolve the confusion among leaders in Karnataka immediately, it should dissolve the assembly and face elections, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said in Hubballi on Sunday (Nov 30, 2025).
“When I read the reports of the breakfast meeting between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar in Bengaluru, there seems to be no meaningful outcome. It would have sent a message that everything was fine if the CM said he would complete his tenure and that the DCM should have said he would drop his claims. But that didn’t happen. Would the commands have to hold a joint breakfast to agree on a joint breakfast statement? Orders?” he told reporters after watching Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s latest telecast of Mann Ki Baat.
“I think the instability in state politics continues. Although there seems to be a truce between Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Shivakumar, the fighting seems to have intensified,” he added.
“Political instability unseen anywhere else in the country is now in Karnataka. People are reeling under terrible corruption. Administration is being carried out by some officials without any boundaries. The state’s financial situation is pathetic,” he said.
“There is an open attempt to buy MLAs and the Congress high command is silent. We respect AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge a lot but he is powerless in front of the Gandhi-Nehru family which is the real power centre,” he said. The state government has not provided me the details under the PM-KUSUM scheme. But I am glad that it is properly implemented.
He said the Prime Minister raised several important issues like beekeeping in Karnataka, Tagore Museum in Karwar, importance of Local for Vocal campaign and various social and cultural issues. The minister also distributed subsidized agricultural inputs to SC\ST farmers under municipal grants.
