On Wednesday, Congress organized a protest against hunger, which criticized the alleged neglect of the election district of the democratic leading government represented in the Kereal Assembly by Congress Mla Chanda Oommen.
Chandy Oommen took part in a hunger strike and said he was sitting on hunger strikes against the alleged government of neglecting people of the constituency and not for the party.
“It is not a problem of the party, but a public problem. That is why I invited (Minister) VN Vasavan, who is from there to participate in the protest,” he told the television channel.
Another Congress of Mla Thiruvanchor Radhakrishnan, who took part in the hunger strike, claimed that “neglect of UDF constituencies” is a general trend in the state.
“They divide the state into two parts, while the constituencies have changed into the third class. I am quite neglecting this neglect that is happening,” he said.
Many other leaders participated in the protest.
