Congress MLCs Balmoor Venkat and Addanki Dayakar have filed a complaint with the Returning Officer of Jubilee Hills constituency alleging violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by some TV channels in the name of polling.
In the complaint, they said that a person related to the polling agency is circulating an election survey related to Jubilee Hills. They said the video is misleading and clearly violates the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines, which prohibit the publication or broadcast of pre-election and exit polls during election periods.
Arguing that such content could affect voter sentiment, potentially disrupting social harmony and sparking unrest, they urged the authorities to take immediate legal action against the team involved.
