:
The MLCS Congress called on Governor Thaawwareand Gehlot on Thursday and demanded his immediate intervention and was looking for constitutional and legal steps against BJP MLC N. Ravikumar for his alleged derogatory remark against the IAS officer and representatives of the Commissioner Kalaburagagi Fouzia Taranum.
They also demanded the Governor’s action against Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, the opposition leader in the legislative council, for his alleged derogatory notes against Minister Priyank Kharge.
On Tuesday, Mr. Ravikumar expressed regret for his “intimacy, but unintentional” notes against Mrs. Taranum. During the recent protest in Kalaburagag, Mr. Ravikumar claimed that the deputy of the Commissioner “lost independence” when “adopted orders from Minister RDPR Priyank Kharge” and wondered if the officer IAS or “someone came from Pakistan” led to extended condemnation.
In the Governor’s petition, Congress MLC urged him to take Suo Motu to realize Mr. Ravikumar’s derogatory remarks, and to publish a formal conviction of his statement, followed the constitutional values of secularism, administrative neutrality, and respect public employees.
They urged the governor to “recommend disciplinary or ethical proceedings against MLC according to criminal proceedings and entrepreneurship in the legislative council, including censorship or suspension as justified.
Against the council of the LOP
Congress MLC, including the Minister of NS Boseraju, and members of Salim Ahmed and Dinesh Guli Gowd, demanded Mr. Gehlot’s intervention against Mr. Nayanaswamy for his derogatory remarks against Mr. Kharge. “MLC compared the Minister of Cabinet, Priyank Kharge, to the dog,” the petition said.
The petition said the governor should immediately recommend Mr. Narayanaswamy to resign from his post and take moral responsibility for the non -parliamentary remark. This ensures that dignity is maintained in public discourse and democratic institutions are maintained.
“Moreover, downtrodden members will also understand that the governor will not allow high -powerful individuals to climb their rights,” the petition said.
