All India National Joint Coordinator of Kisan Congress S. Krishna Chaitanya Reddy wrote to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the Prime Minister’s Office urging them to take steps to protect the sanctity of the Tirumala temple in the wake of the alleged adulteration of ghee in the laddu.
In his letter, Mr. Reddy asked the Chief Minister and the PMO to order all media outlets to delete data related to the issue, saying its politicization had caused anxiety and hurt the faith and sentiments of millions of devotees. While asserting that the matter should be thoroughly investigated and action taken against the culprits as per law, he urged Mr. Naidu to direct government officials, political leaders and individuals to refrain from making statements or posting on social media until the investigation is complete. These measures, he said, are a big step forward in preserving the sanctity of the prasadam and the temple.
