Congress on Friday (April 4, 2025) launched Dr. Manmohan Singh Fellows named after the former Prime Minister and called on experts in the middle of his career to join politics to build modern and progressive India.
Within the scholarship, 50 experts in the middle of their career will be selected each year and mentorized by the leading party leader from a professional environment.
X, the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha and former President of Congress Rahul Gandhi, shared the combination of the professional congress All India (AIPC), and urged professionals to apply for the program.

“It is time for the brightest Indian mind to bring its strength to politics.
The chairman of the AIPC Poe Chakravarty, which concerns a joint press conference with the leaders of K. Raju and Pawan Khera, said:
“As soon as they are selected, they will be mentorized by leaders in the congress side who came from the professional environment itself,” he added.
Mr. Chakravarty said that the elected experts were to spend at least 10 years and achieve a certain level of financial security and are enthusiastic about building progressive India.
In his notes on Presser Raja, he said that Manmohan Singh Fellows will work with the heads of professionals working in the congress side or the leaders of Congress who had professional background to help them move.
“I am glad to be one of these mentors. We would like to understand what the strengths these experts have and what it is that they can contribute to the party. And then we will work to create an ecosystem for them to grow in politics,” Raju said.
“In this way, we train them in one year of mentoring how to deal with politics and how to deal with the uncertainties of politics. At the same time, they will learn how to focus on our goal with our support,” he added.
