Relutifying BRS claims about the Supreme Court’s judgment on disqualification MLA, government whip Adi Srinivas and MLC Addanki Dayakar wondered why BRS “incorrectly interprets” the judgment and spreads false narratives.
On Thursday, who spoke in the Congress Legislation (CLP) office, Mr. Dayakar said that the SC command reaffirmed the power of the speaker on disqualification matters.
“The Top Court did not question the office of the speaker or hit the legislative process. He merely ordered the speaker to decide on disqualification petitions within three months. This reaffirmed that the spokesman had constitutional powers in this matter,” Mr. Dayakar said.
Congress MLC accused BRS of hypocrisy and pointed out its history of defects and unconstitutional fusion. “KCR, when several parties joined in the power of Congress, TDP and even CPI. Congress of Mla Sabith Indra Reddy became minister after switching parties. Former PCC presidents and even heads like L. Raman were taken to BRS to smooth the opposition.” “KCR silenced the opposition and is now crying as tables turned,” he said.
Mr. Srinivas repeated the same view and explained how BRS indulges in double standards. “BRS has brought 60 mills, MPS, ZP chairmen, MPTC and even Sarpanches.
He said that SC could show that the matter was under the law of a speaker. “Gaddam Prasad Kumar will operate according to constitutional directions. BRS now dreams of bikes,” he said.
