
Between the leadership of the Youth Congress and the leader of the veteran congress PJ Kurien broke out the war of words after his public criticism of reduced presence of clothing in protest movements.
From Kurien, a member of the Committee on Political Affairs of Congress, he spoke at a party in pathanamit, praised the Indian student federation (SFI) under CPI (m) to settle “dissatisfied youth”. On the other hand, the leaders of the congress for youth are only visible on television and are missing in fighting on the ground, he said.
“Whoever overlooks the stages is not counted if you cannot even collect 25 young people on the ground in the election district,” Kurien said with reference to the State President for Youth and Mla Rahul Mamkootathil, who was present at the event.
Refusal
Mr Mamkootathil replied to the notes and said he accepted criticism with grace, but offered pointed refuted. “Members of the Congress for Youth may be less at family gatherings, but when it comes to street protests, it is not so,” he said.
His reaction was followed by a wave of strong reactions from youth leaders on social media. Mr. Mamkootathil sent his own facebook on Sunday: “Let those with your eyes and you hear you with ears,” shares a video of the youth congress workers in Pathanamthitta, including its district president, who took the police to preventive links before Minister George’s Minister George’s in Aranmule.
Jithin G.
