Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Labor President KT Rama Rao on Saturday (July 18, 2026) called on unemployed youth in Telangana to write a “death declaration” for senior leaders of the ruling Congress party, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing the youth of failing to fulfill the promises made in the “You Declaration” before coming to power.
However, he admitted that the BRS government had made some mistakes regarding the paper leaks and expressed regret over these failures.
Addressing the ‘Yuva Sangrama Sadassu’ at the Saroornagar Stadium in Hyderabad, KTR said that he would quit politics if the Congress government proved that it had filled 70,000 posts through the notifications it had issued, arguing that several recruitment notifications had actually been issued during BRS’s tenure.
The former minister alleged that the Congress party did not implement even a single promise made as part of the ‘Youth Declaration’ from the same Saroornagar stadium in May 2023, “The Congress party cheated the youth who believed in its promises and secured its victory. Now believe that they were deceived,” he said.
He added that among the 24 promises were several promises including unemployment allowance, interest-free loan of ₹10,000 and 75% reservation of private sector jobs for local youth.
Criticizing Congress leaders including Chief Minister, Deputy Minister, TPCC President and Ministers for their alleged misleading statements about the number of government posts filled by the incumbent government, KTR said they were quoting different figures to mislead the unemployed youth.
Referring to the jobs filled during the previous BRS government, KTR said it had issued 2.32 million job filling notifications and successfully filled 1.60 million jobs, besides enabling the creation of more than 20 million jobs in the private sector.
Stating that youth power can topple any government, he urged the youth to teach the Revanth Reddy government a lesson. He urged the youth to question why the government has not filled the 20,000 vacancies in the police department. The meeting was attended by students from several universities across the state, candidates preparing for government posts and others.
